Monday – Mayflower curry is so quick, budget friendly & tastes just like a takeaway. Pick up a box in Icelands, Farm Foods, B&M, Home Bargains, the Range… £1 a box will last you a month or 2 easy! I make up 28g of powder & 150ml of cold water per PORTION, so just add portions depending on the number of peeps you’re feeding

Tuesday – Bubble & squeak cakes from the Two Chubby Cubs book, when I made these the other week I doubled the recipe & froze half so these were already in the freezer ready to be used. Those of us in the house trying to lose some timber had some low Syn veggie sausages from Tesco, Veggie Herby Bangers & the rest of em had the greasy, oily, cheap ones. Served with a bag of microwave veg each & some gravy

Wednesday – I really couldn’t be bothered with the faff & extra washing up of making a Shepherd’s pie, so I just chucked it all on the plate instead. Makes it look like there’s more on the plate too. Depending on your appetite you may get an extra portion out of this for the freezer

Deconstructed Shepherd’s Pie

Thursday – Just a simple microwave meal from the Slimming World range in Iceland with added veggies. Nuff said

Friday – Icelands also do a 1kg bag of cooked diced chicken, it’s perfect for meals like Diet Coke Chicken. It will do the 5 of us 2 meals each & only costs £5 so brilliant if you’re a bit tight with buying meat or if like me, you absolutely hate touching, smelling or going near raw meat

Saturday – I cannot stress this enough, but I love, really LOVE, cheeseburger pasta. You’ll find the recipe on http://www.slimmingeats.com & it fed 6 of us with a side salad. It’s just pure comfort food, carb heaven & I can stuff my face like Bruce with that chocolate cake

Sunday – Again, like last week, & the week before that, we have the pie recipe from Pinch of Nom. I never do the filo pastry on top as I like to save my Syns there, instead we’ll just have it on a plate with either mash, roast spuds or hassleback potatoes & a side of veggies. Tonight’s was a cheap red cabbage & some whole carrots roasted in the oven. I use a whole chicken for this recipe cooked in the Pressure King, then shredded. I saved some extra chook for my lunch tomorrow too
