The basics you’ll need in your kitchen to help make all your meals amazing!
- Fry Light – 1kcal spray oil. There are quite a few supermarkets selling their own version now, these are just as good & can help you save a few pennies on the brand name
- Herbs – fresh or dried it is up to you. I use a lot dried as the fresh stuff does go off quite quickly, if you’re super prepped you can freeze fresh herbs in a ice cube tray in water but I am never quite that organised
- Spices – Who knew there were several different varieties of paprika?! Stock up on your spices, these will be invaluable for so many recipes
- Worcestershire Sauce – If you know how to pronounce that ridiculous word, well done you. Supermarkets own brand can be half the price of the branded one
- Mustard powder – Definitely a must have in the store cupboard even if you can’t stand the stuff. Blow some into your husbands face if he annoys you
- Mayflower Chinese Curry – Must have in this house. There are always at least 4 boxes in the cupboard just in case of the apocalypse. It is the closest thing you will find to a healthy Chinese curry that tastes like it’s just come delivered out of Dave’s Fiat Panda
- Marmite – Love it or hate it, you will need it at some point. I cannot f***ing stand it. But, I do love it melted & poured over roast spuds. Weird eh
- Mushy Peas – This may seem like a bit of a weird one but Syn free mushy pea gravy is bloody finger licking good.
